Sam Attisha

As senior vice president and region manager of the West Region for Cox Communications, Sam Attisha oversees operations across Cox’s West Region, including Arizona, California, Idaho and Nevada.     

 

Prior to his current role, Attisha has held various local, state and national leadership roles across the company in operations, business development and public affairs, including serving as senior vice president of market expansion, field operations and region manager for California.

 

Attisha serves on the management council for the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce. He is board chair for CalBroadband (California Broadband and Video Association) and the board of directors’ audit chair for Monarch School, which educates San Diego’s homeless K-12 students.

 

In 2020, Attisha was an honoree of the San Diego Business Journal’s CEO of the Year awards. He also received the South County Economic Development Council’s 2020 Golden Dedication/Marilyn Lassman Lifetime Achievement award, which honors leaders who have made a positive community impact in South San Diego County. In 2022, Attisha was honored with a Visionary Award by the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce as LEAD Graduate of the Year for his leadership and efforts in the region.

 

Attisha emigrated from Iraq when he was three years old and grew up in El Cajon, Calif. in San Diego County. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of San Diego, and an MBA from California State University, Sacramento.

 

He and his wife, Shereen, have three sons.
