Mark Lawson

As the chief digital and information officer, Mark Lawson has a relentless focus on driving a digital-first mindset throughout Cox Communications.  His team is at the helm of driving value and growth through cutting-edge digital strategy, robust cybersecurity measures, innovative technology and tool strategies, seamless IT delivery, and groundbreaking advancements in AI and data management.

 

Before taking on his current role, Mark was the executive vice president, chief marketing, and sales officer at Cox Communications. There, he led sales and strategic marketing efforts for both residential and Cox Business sectors.

 

With over 25 years of experience in telecommunications, Mark is a trailblazer in digital transformation, customer experience, strategic marketing, sales optimization, and e-commerce. Since joining Cox in 2013, he has been a catalyst for digital transformation, previously serving as senior vice president of digital. In this role, he revolutionized strategy and marketing for Cox’s online channels, setting new standards for the industry.

 

Before Cox, Mark held leadership roles at Verizon Wireless, improving digital operations, revenue, and customer experiences. He holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from Rockford College and an MBA from Indiana University.
