Lisa Pickelsimer Promoted to Executive Director of Video Product Development for Cox Communications

ATLANTA – The promotion of Lisa Pickelsimer to Executive Director of Video Product Development for Cox Communications Inc was announced today by Steve Necessary, Vice President, Video Strategy and Product Management.

In this role, Pickelsimer will be responsible for driving the development of all new product initiatives which encompass video, including televisions, the PC and wireless devices. Current areas of focus include Cox’s set-top receiver video user interface, video on demand, digital video recording, interactive television, video mobility and support for the industry’s Tru2Way video retail device initiative.

In making the announcement, Necessary said “Lisa has demonstrated superior leadership in our most important undertakings over the past few years and is the right person to take our video product development activities to the next level. I have the utmost respect for her talent and perseverance and trust her to lead this important part of the organization.”

Pickelsimer joined Cox in 1999 as Senior Analyst, New Media Development for Cox Enterprises and was promoted to Manager, New Media Development in 2000. She joined Cox Communications in 2001 as Manager, Video Product Development and was promoted to Director, Video Product Development in 2003. Prior to joining Cox, she held positions of Staff Electrical Engineering and Product Manager at Scientific-Atlanta.

Pickelsimer received her bachelor degree in electrical engineering from Clemson University, master degree in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and master of business administration degree from Emory University. In 2007, she was recognized as one of Multichannel News’ top 40 under 40 leaders in the telecommunications industry.
