Cox Communications Serves Over One Million Triple Play Customers
More Than Three Million Cox Customers Enjoy Two or More Video, Internet and Telephone Services
Atlanta, GA

ATLANTA – Cox Communications, Inc. today announced that over one million customers subscribe to Cox's bundle of voice, video and Internet services. Further, more than three million of Cox's 6.7 million customers enjoy more than one Cox service.

“In today's marketplace, every telecom provider is trying to cobble together a bundled offering of services,” stated Jim Robbins, Chief Executive Officer. “But at Cox, we've had eight years of experience perfecting a bundle that others have just begun to tackle. The payoff of our expertise is clearly evident in our impressive customer numbers and overall customer satisfaction. Those levels of success are earned over years of delivering for consumers; they don't, and can't, happen overnight.”

In 1997, Cox was the first company to deliver a full package of telephone, high-speed Internet and digital cable television over a single broadband network. Today, Cox is the only multi-service broadband company equipped to offer consumers the convenience of both a single or multiple bill option and one number to call for service questions. In addition, Cox bundled customers receive great value, saving roughly $150 a year by subscribing to all three Cox services rather than purchasing them separately.

Cox is also the industry leader in customer satisfaction. Cox recently received the highest ranking among high-speed Internet service providers nationwide in the J.D. Power and Associates' 2005 Internet Service Provider Residential Customer Satisfaction Study. Cox also received the J.D. Power and Associates' highest overall satisfaction ranking in the 2005 Residential Telephone Study in the West Region for the third consecutive year, as well as the highest ranking in J.D. Power and Associates' 2004 Residential Long Distance Telephone Service Study for bundled services.

Expanding the bundle

With nearly half of Cox's customers experiencing the convenience and value of the current bundle of services, last week's news of a joint venture among Sprint Nextel, Cox and other major cable companies, is exciting news. In 2006, Cox customers will be able to add a fourth service to the bundle. But, more importantly, they'll experience the integration of wired and wireless services and be able to enjoy the full power of their entertainment and communications offerings – at home or on the go.

“Cox was the first to perfect the three-product bundle, and we're delighted to be pioneering an even bigger, better bundle for our customers. The beauty of this joint venture for our customers is that they'll have it all – video, voice, Internet, information, entertainment, communications, all delivered seamlessly at home or away from a single, full-service provider of wired and wireless services.”
