Cox Digital Telephone Customers Enjoy New Features, Functionality
Cox Converges Telephone and Internet Technology to Enhance Phone Customers' Functionality
Atlanta, GA

ATLANTA – Cox Communications Inc., the nation's largest cable telephony provider, has added online accessibility to its Cox Digital Telephone service in Middle Georgia, Gulf Coast, Fla. and Central Florida. The new functionality provided by “Phone Tools” makes the Cox Digital Telephone experience unparallel to traditional telephone providers.

“Phone Tools represents the first of many innovative features that we'll be able to bring our customers as Cox further integrates its communications and entertainment services,” said David Pugliese, Cox's vice president of product management and marketing. “These features allow Cox to deliver a unique user experience that makes traditional telephone service a thing of the past.”

Cox Phone Tools is available at no extra charge to all customers in select markets who subscribe to both Cox Digital Telephone and Cox High Speed Internet. The tool features an easy-to-use graphical user interface (GUI) at cox.net that allows customers to listen to voice mails online, view their call log of incoming and outgoing calls, save voice messages on their PC, and forward voice mails as an e-mail attachment – whether at home or any location with Internet service. (NYSE: TWX) and Advance/Newhouse Communications that will accelerate the convergence of video entertainment, wireline and wireless data and communications products and services. The companies in the joint venture will work to develop converged next generation products for consumers that combine the best of cable's core products and interactive features with the vast potential of wireless technology to deliver services anywhere, any time.
